Suppers for Six

You are invited to participate with Suppers for Six, a series of small group dinners to be held from February through July. Why sign up? This is an opportunity to connect with other friends of FBC in a deeper way through sharing conversations over a meal – an opportunity to know, appreciate, and understand the diversity that exists at FBC.

Over six months, your group of six will arrange and share at least four meals together – in homes, at a park, at a restaurant, whatever you all decide. FBC will provide optional prompts for sharing personal stories during these meals. The Faith Formation Team has created digital and print registration forms that will circulate in January. That team will arrange the groups; hopefully, you’ll establish stronger bonds with folks that you may not now know well.

David Brooks, author of How to Know a Person, notes that all of us have a longing to be valued and to share our lives in deep ways, “yet we humans do not do this well. All around us are people who feel invisible, unseen, misunderstood.” Through Suppers for Six, FBC hopes to encourage understanding and consideration for each other, and help each other find the joy that comes from being deeply seen and heard. As we share our stories, we become the incarnation of God to one another.

Please sign up HERE, and encourage others to, by January 15. We hope you can be part of Suppers for Six!
