Tell about it

WINTER STORY NIGHT in the FBC Fireplace Room

Saturday, January 31, 7pm

THEME: The Cold

Prepare a five-minute story about the cold. Interpret that however you like, or consider these prompts to get you started:

What’s your earliest memory of a snow day? Were you a fort-builder, an angel-maker, a ball-thrower? Was there a big fireplace you’d curl up next to when you came in from the cold, or did the sharp wind sneak through the open seams around the windows of your place? Did you notice that as the weather got colder, people’s attitudes grew warmer – or did their personalities match the weather outside? (Have you ever gotten – or given – a cold shoulder?) Have you experienced the cold isolating people, or drawing them closer together?

Prepare a story that is true, centered on one specific experience, and yours to tell. Then come to FBC’s Winter “Tell About It” Story Night to share it with a circle of friends, to listen to other stories, and deepen connections. You are welcome to come just to listen as well.
