The Portland Story Theater is coming to FBC!

They’re offering two sessions of their Storytelling Starter, a workshop designed to give you a taste of the fabulous art form of storytelling in less than two hours. It’s interactive. Fast-paced. Fun!

Their approach teaches participants to trust the story and speak extemporaneously from the heart. You’ll get a chance to learn about story structure, the power of presence, the differences between writing and telling, and how to find the story that you need to tell. This year, as we explore the stories of the church, you’re invited to explore your own stories, too… Here’s a great way to get started.

The workshop is $10 per person. Choose from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Stay late or come early for lunch, served in between the sessions, at 1 p.m., and included in the cost. RSVP to Donna at fbc@macnet.com or by calling the church at 503.472.7941.
