Jesse Cromer is so thrilled to join the staff at FBC. He is also the director of the Portland Peace Choir, and previously served as the choir director at Cherry Park, Rockwood, and Silverton United Methodist Churches. From the very beginning, he was pleasantly surprised by the mission and goals of FBC, and how closely they match his own beliefs; particularly in regard to social and racial justice, care for the environment, support for our LGBTQIA+ communities, and help for those in need.
Since returning to Portland seven years ago, he has built a large voice studio, which now includes six teachers working with him, teaching his technique. When there is time, Jesse performs with professional theatre and opera companies. He was most recently seen as Stewpot in South Pacific with Clackamas Repertory Theatre, and as Benny in Guys and Dolls with Broadway Rose Theatre.
Jesse also works in TV and film. He is represented by Tiffany Talent in Seattle, and can be seen in season three, episode three of Documentary Now! on Netflix. When not waving his arms, performing, or teaching, he loves spending time with his partner Anna, and their two dogs, Damian and Oberon, and snowboarding as much as possible in the winter.
