Ways to get involved in the music ministry at FBC

If you are looking for a place to use your gifts of music, the music ministry at FBC is looking for you! In addition to the three groups described below, we also have a Ukulele Ukestra and opportunities for special music at the services. There is a contact form at the bottom of this page to indicate that you are interested getting involved.

Chancel Choir

All are welcome, with or without choral experience, to come and sing the praises of the Lord together. The choir sings everything from the contemporary works of Michael W. Smith to the classical and neo-classical tradition of Bach and John Rutter— the great anthems, both new and old, of the Christian Church.
Please contact JP Bierly, Music Minister
Rehearsals 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings

Worship Team Musicians

A contemporary singing group who present high energy, high quality, vocal music ranging from pop to blues, jazz, rock, and gospel at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Willingness to have fun in a musical setting is mandatory. First Baptist Church is blessed with many wonderful musicians, but we are always looking for many more to join in our collective song of praise. Guitar players, pianists, bass players, drummer/percussionists and the like all participate weekly in praise and worship. Musicians participate on a rotational basis for services.

Rehearsal 7:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday evenings.

Jubilee Bell Ringers

With regular performances in worship, our Jubilee Bells consistently lead us into sacred places. Musicians of all ages unite to provide beautiful musical expressions which lead us into the presence of God. All are welcome; no experience is needed, although some music reading skills are helpful.
