Easter Lilies & Holy Week schedule

Memorial Easter Lilies

Remember your loved ones by providing a potted Lily plant (by Friday, Mar. 25) for display in the sanctuary on Easter Sunday. Advise the church office (by Tuesday, Mar. 22), the name(s) being remembered, so that they will be included  in the Easter Bulletin.

Palm Sunday – March 20 – WORSHIP

Join in the procession of palms and the singing of praises, as we remember the drama of the last week of Jesus’ life.

Good Friday – March 25 – WORSHIP

7:00 pm gather for a meditative worship service, remembering the “Seven Last Words” of Jesus and holding in our prayers people who speak words like those today. We’ll welcome guests from St. Barnabas and Linfield College.

Holy Saturday – March 26 – Community Service Day

We’ll spend this in-between day in service, working to create the kind of world we want. 9:30 am – Meet at FBC first, for a brief devotion and commissioning, then we’ll spread out for projects around the church grounds and in the wider community. Projects posted soon.

Easter Sunday – March 27 – 8:45 am & 11:00 am WORSHIP

10:00 am EASTER Brunch in the Gathering Room (Menu items: Deviled Eggs, Platters of sliced Cheese, Hot Cross Buns, Fruit tray, Basket of Mini Muffins, Fruit Salad, Orange Juice, Coffee, Tea & Milk) Bring flowers from home to help create our  beautiful Easter Cross. The cross will be processed into the 11 am service and placed at the front of the sanctuary among the beautiful display of Easter Lilies.

Come to celebrate the Good News that God’s love lives forever! Our music (choir at both services! and Danny Thornton with special music at 11 am) and our prayers will offer gratitude for all the new life that surrounds us and lift up those places still hoping for resurrection.
